Hi guys. I have to write a speech. Either persuasive or informative, and it has to include visual aids. Images, charts, graphs etc... But I can't get excited about a topic. I've thrown around some ideas such as a satire on global warming, history of Lamborghini, modern architecture, how an ICE works... Satire is fair game. In appreciation of your input, enjoy these space age concepts from GM.

If you go the car route maybe look into Ford v Ferrari at LeMans its pretty interesting as well. But if you are stuck on those choices go with the History of Lamborghini and don't forget the tractors!

Maybe do a persuasive speech about how manuals are superior to any other transmission. Or maybe one about the rotary. Or maybe one about a car you hate with a burning passion, but be careful with that one. I tried it once and by the end it was an unhinged screaming rant.

I was leaning towards Lamborghini, but how do break down the history? First there were tractors, then a bunch of stuff nobody in my class will appreciate or recognize, then finally a handful of cars my ghetto ass Chicago community college classmates will recognize from rap videos. Which is partly why I'm maybe trying a bit hard to work in humor to keep their attention.

I always like to debunk "popularly" held beliefs like "Millenials don't like cars" or "Hybrids are good for the environment." Plenty of articles on both sides. :)

My last speech was why you should go diesel when considering a fuel efficient vehicle.

And why is that? I'll need credible sources and visual aids. But it can probably be done.

I would briefly mention how they made tractors then go into the legendary Ferrari/Lamborghini argument. Bring up the 350GT and and then most importantly from the 60's the Miura. Then talk about how in the 70's Lamborghini again revolutionized the industry with the Countach. Bankruptcy would be important to mention and how Chrysler bought Lamborghini and brought out the Diablo. Finally mention the "New Age" of Lamborghini under Audi and how the company has become far more profitable and popularized.

Some good ideas here, but you can't go wrong if you choose a subject that
a) you are passionate about
b) you are knowledgeable about
c) may interest or enlighten your audience
Otherwise, try to open and close with humour, be sure to make eye contact with as many members of the audience as possible, and summarize your arguments in an introduction "Hi everybody, I just flew in from Chicago, and boy! are my arms tired!" (laughter, applause) "Thank you. Today I'd like to talk to you about aerodynamics, but I swear this speech won't be a drag!"
